If you are ever in the Sturbridge area and trying to decide between the MANY great restaurants we have out here, I must urge you to dine at Rovezzi's Ristorante. This is hands down my favorite fine and casual dining restaurant in Central Mass. I fall in love with any good Italian restaurant, but this one is above the rest. The atmosphere is very nice and the dress-code is casual. Located at the corner of Route 20 and School Street you could never tell the treasures awaiting inside for you in this older colonial looking house. Click here to review their menu that includes famous Italian dishes such as veal parmigianno, bruschetta and penne with sausage and mushrooms. Worried that you won't be able to find a sitter for the kids? I was too, but my husband James talked me into going with our 3 sons (when there was just 3 of them) and I gave in and tried it. I was so scared that it was too fancy of a restaurant to bring them, they were just 4, 2 and under a year old. I thought the staff may look down on us for trying to bring them all in there and that everyone dining wouldn't appreciate the noise. I was wrong! We had a very pleasant dining experience (which can be hard to do with this many young children). The hostess was very accommodating, we got a semi-private table in the corner and they even had coloring books and nice crayons for them to occupy themselves with while we waited for our food! I usually get the same thing every time I go - either veal or chicken parm., but my husband has tried several different dishes and they're all good.
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner - Chris Rovezzi. He is a very down to earth, good hearted man that can cook! He was so gracious to even offer us space if we ever needed to have a business meeting. Rovezzi's Ristorante is a very charming place and you can't visit Central Mass without at least one night of treating yourself to this great place to dine!
